Composite Materials Lab

The third and fourth year students that applied in polymer and petrochemical branch in the materials department have learn the method of preparing samples by hand lay-up for polymer-based composite materials and conducting mechanical and physical tests. The tests include bending tests, thermal conductivity tests (Lee disc), impact tests, and tensile tests for testing polymer-based composite reinforced by particulate and fibers materials.

Casting lab

Casting laboratory

Casting laboratory is interested in teaching students such as casting and its methods. It also focuses on connecting between the theoretical and experimental work, obtaining into account the possibilities of using more than one metal and using more than one casting method to illustrate many study cases.
