The thesis studied using: tiles’ powder, lamps’ glass, gray glass powder, rice peel ash, and two types of wood powder, as partial cement replacement. Various weight fractions,(11,13,15) % had been used with basic plain concrete ,which had (3/1.5/1) mixture (fine aggregate/cement/water), and (0.45) water/cement, with different curing times, (7, 14, 28) days. According to the replacement materials that used 19 categories of specimens included basic mixture concrete (plain concrete) had been prepared with grain size of all mixtures’ ingredients range (75-600) µm. the work’s results show that only few replacement types of those used as partially cement replacement can improve mechanical properties of concrete.

This thesis had been scientific evaluation by assistance Prof Dr.  Aliaa Abas Ali / North Technical University / Technical College and linguistically by Prof Dr. Arkan Khalkhal Hussein / University of Technology/ Mechanical Department. The discussion of the thesis had been performed at the Fadul Attya hall, and the discussion’s committee agreed to award the student master degree.
