The Department of Materials Engineering, in cooperation with the Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials at the University of Technology and the National Center for Packaging and Packaging at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, held a scientific symposium entitled:

“The role of nanotechnology and materials engineering in packaging”

The conference took place on Monday, November 20, 2023, at nine o’clock in the morning in the conference hall of the Civil Engineering Department, in the presence of the Scientific Assistant, Assist. Prof. Dr. Kazem Matar Shabib. The lectures of the symposium were given by:

1. Dr. Abdullah Adnan Abdul Karim/ Director of the National Packaging and Packaging Center/ Lecture title "An introductory overview of the National Center for Packaging and Packaging"
2. Prof. Dr. Aseel Bassem Abdel Hussein/ Department of Materials Engineering/ Lecture title "The role of materials technology in packaging"
3. Dr. Sinan Salman Hamdi/ Center for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials/ Lecture title "The role of nanotechnology in packaging"

At the end of the symposium, the Scientific Assistant, Assist. Prof. Dr. Kazem Matar Shabib praised the lecturers for their efforts and presented them with certificates of appreciation.
